Description:
Ganglion Impar Nerve Block is a minimally invasive and highly effective procedure to address pelvic, groin, and coccygeal (tailbone) pain. This procedure involves the injection of a corticosteroid medication and a local anesthetic around the sacrum where the ganglion impar is located. Ganglion impar is a bundle of nerves controlling pelvic, groin, and coccygeal (tailbone) pain. Occasionally, the Ganglion Impar Nerve Block might need to be repeated to achieve sustained pain relief.
